The cost of translating Japanese is calculated by the total number of characters (moji) in the source text, for French this is calculated by the source text word count. A non-technical translation with a flexible deadline will naturally cost less than a technical document which needs to be returned ASAP.
However, you can expect to pay between £70 and £90 per 1000 Japanese characters, £60 to £80 per 1000 French words and we usually charge for proofreading by the hour. If you require subtitling or audio transcription this is charged per audio minute.
Please note that we charge a minimum fee of £40 for short jobs.
We can take PayPal payments but bank transfer is preferable. Payment is due on delivery for new clients, however after an initial collaboration, payment within 30 days of delivery is fine.
